Overview
The Safeture Travel Approval module allows organizations to automate travel approval processes based on covid-19 data and/or internal policies. The functionality of the travel approval module is divided into three sections:
- Traveler Pre-Booking approval request (With/Without Travel Booking Integration)
- Traveler Post-Booking approval request (Without Travel Booking Integration)
- Administrative interface for travel approvals and managing travel approval policies

Access
The Travel Approval module can be accessed by travelers and portal administrators, by signing in to https://iso.safeture.com/ and selecting the Travel Approval Module found in the left hand module menu.

Requesting Approval
When Travelers login to the Safeture portal to start the request process they are presented three options;
- New Request
Enter new trip details
- My Requests
- Existing requests that are pending an approval decision
- View Country Travel Policies
- View the restrictions on destinations alongside information for the destination

New Request
Under Travel Information you can add the segments of your trip by typing the departure and arrival airport, and the date of your trip. Then click add to add the segment. After adding all the segments of your trip, click next.

By clicking next the Preliminary Travel Status is displayed, you can view the outcome of the automatic travel approval module. This can result in Approved, Pending, or Denied, depending on the covid-19 restrictions and/or your organization’s travel policies. Where the status is shown as Pending click next to proceed with the Travel Approval request.

You will then be presented with a summary of your trip, to submit for approval click on the send request button, this will send a notification to the Approval Manager(s).

My Requests
Under My Requests you can view all of the requests you have created. This view also allows you to view the status of your requests.

View Country Travel Policies
Here you can view all of the Covid-19 related travel restrictions, as well as your organizations travel policies. The policy is divided between International Travel and Domestic Travel. The different colors represent the outcome that the travel approval request may result in, Approval (Green), Pending (Yellow) requires an Administrator to take a decision, or Denial (Red).
By clicking on a country of interest and selecting the International or Domestic Travel icons you can view all of the Covid-19 related travel restrictions, as well as your organizations travel policies for the particular country.

As an Administrator of Travel Approval, on login you are presented with two options
- Manage Requests
- Approve or Deny Traveler trip requests
- Manage Country Travel Policies
- Amend the status for each country travel status for your organization

Manage Requests – overview
Under the Overview tab, you can view all of the active travel approval requests. From this view it is possible to reverse automatic Denials and Approvals. You will also see the Pending trips which you can Approve or Deny by clicking the respective buttons in the right Options column

Pending
Under the Pending tab you are shown the number of and details of new requests only. Here you can Approve/Deny Pending trips by using the respective buttons in the right Options column. You can also click on a specific trip to get more detailed information about the travel request (shown below), as well as covid-19 related travel restrictions information and your organizations travel policies for the country.

Log
Under the Log tab you can find information on all past travel booking requests and the decisions that have been taken by the automatic approval process, and/or Admins.

Manage Country Travel Policies
Within this section you can view and edit countries status with regards to travel. To edit, pick a country from the list and click edit.

By enabling the top right “Use Custom Policy:” switch you can start editing the country’s International and Domestic Travel Polices. You can choose between automatic Approved (green), Pending (Yellow), and automatic Denied (Red).
You can also choose to add, change, and/or remove the Safeture Covid-19 related information. This is simply done by editing the content within the text box.

Once you have made your changes click Save to apply the changes.
